VIA kick-starts your career

TMH is opening a new Career Service Center so that students more easily can get from the class room to the job market

Neon signs, computers and the consultants are turned on: Now TMH students can get advice and counselling about their careers. Consultant Mette Fynbo is at the ready with a smile and a hello.

”We have long needed a forum of contact between companies and students, and a place where students can get clear-cut information about the job market and CVs. This is it,” she says.

The Center provides counselling twice a week, and makes events for Danish and international students on Tuesdays, the so-called ”Green Tuesdays”. Here companies and organisations give good advice to students. Among other things, the two consultants have access to a large database of companies and students, to help create the perfect career match.

You can get help with writing job applications, setting up your own business, getting in contact with companies, and be coached to get the dream job.

”There are many things to get started on, so we are already ahead,” says Mette Fynbo, who immediately is surrounded by five inquisitive students.

International student, Marcin Osiecki, who is about to finish the constructing architect programme, is pleased:
”They are very easy to get in contact with, and they have been very helpful,” he says. “I am very satisfied with their help and I will definitely draw on them again when I have finished my education. You see, I would very much like to work here in Denmark.”

The Center is located between buildings A and B, at Chr. M. Østergaards Vej 4, and is open Monday to Wednesday from 10:00 to 14:00. ”Green Tuesdays” are held from 12:00 to 15:00.

If you have any questions, Mette Fynbo is always ready to answer inquiries at career@viauc.dk.
